Stenciling ideas, news, and commentary.

Talk about stenciling today, brought to you by stencilsearch.com.

Here at StencilTalk, we love stenciling. And thanks to Valentine's Day, February is full of love. Putting the two together, this month we bring you a daily series of "Stenciling We Love". Each day features a new project by a different artist. These may be stenciling examples that we love, or projects the artists themselves love. Either way, we're willing to bet you'll find something to love among this collection of posts.

Kitchen Tiles

Updating a backsplash provides a great opportunity to use stencils. Here are two examples of kitchen backsplash areas that utilize faux tiles and raised stencil designs.

These faux tiles, created by Merilee Sawusch, were done with Behr Texturizing Paint (smooth), then a brass stencil was used for the palm trees.

Tile makeover by Carol Leonesio, Paint It!

These existing real tiles no longer matched the new Tuscan decor of the homeowner's kitchen.

Delta PermEnamel Paints were used to update the small flower tiles to coordinate with the Tuscan theme.

This single overlay olive vine design from Royal Design Studios was adapted to fit the space.
